Why humidity is the Florida problem
At 75°F and 65% relative humidity, a house feels clammy and smells musty no matter how low you set the thermostat, and dust mites and mold thrive. Dropping humidity into the mid-40s makes 76°F feel better than 72°F did, and it costs less to run. A properly sized system plus a dehumidifier does that; a bigger air conditioner does not.

Common questions
- Do UV lights actually work?
- Coil-mounted UV-C is well documented at keeping the evaporator coil and drain pan free of biological growth, which is where most musty odors start.
- Will a thicker filter hurt my airflow?
- Not when it's installed correctly. Media cabinets have far more surface area than a 1-inch filter, so they filter better with less static pressure.
